Do tape-in extensions damage your hair?
They can. Most of the damage is not the tape. It is weight, placement, time left in, and a removal that turns into a scrape.
How long do tape-in extensions last?
The hair can last many move-ups. The install should not. Plan on 6–8 weeks, then take them out and re-tab.

Thin section, full press, 24 hours. Most slip is not the tape — it is hair in the sandwich that never should have been there.
Tape-in extension aftercare
Sulfate-free at the lengths. Nothing oily at the bond. Sleep in a loose braid. That is most of the job.
