Tape-ins do not automatically ruin hair. Improper tape-ins do. The distinction matters, because the internet collapses both into one panic search.
Damage shows up in four places. Too much weight on too little natural hair. Tabs placed too close to the scalp, so every brush yanks the follicle. Tabs left in past a sane grow-out — week ten, week twelve — so the bond has walked down the shaft and started to felt. And a removal that peels instead of releases.
The last one is the one we built a company around. A solvent that smears adhesive into the strand forces the stylist (or you) to scrape. Scraping takes cuticle. Repeat that every six weeks and the hair at the bond line looks like it was sanded.
A clean release does not make an oversized weft safe. It does not make a ten-week wear wise. It does remove the most avoidable injury in the cycle.

Signs the install is the problem: tenderness that lasts more than a day, bumps along the bond, tabs you can see as a ridge, hair wrapping around the tape. Those are placement and hygiene issues. Change the method. Do not just buy a stronger tape.
